Luckily enough I was at Groove-a-licious' first ever gig and so I have loved the band since the beginning. My now husband and I went to see the band play in Taunton and decided that if ever we were to marry Groove-a-licious would be the band that we'd choose to play at our reception. There was no other option in our minds! When we got engaged we contacted the band first to find out their availability and voila - a date for our wedding was chosen!! The band were fantastic from the booking stage and they certainly delivered on the night. They sounded great and looked fantastic. We'd heard a band playing at the Jazz Cafe in Reading , myself and my fiance were desperately trying to find a band to play at our wedding. When we heard them we knew they'd be perfect, as soon as they had started playing the dance floor was filled, exactly what we wanted for our wedding reception. Well, what can I say they didn't disappoint!! For the two sets they played at our wedding the dance floor was filled the entire time, everyone old and young was dancing. I have read so many of these testimonial things & worry that they are not genuine because it always sounds too good to be true - but this is genuine! We were married on the 16th Feb 2008 in Taunton and this band made a perfect ending to our perfect day. If like us finances are an issue then make sure you get your priorities right & book this band. People don't remember your fancy wedding cake or your elaborate flowers or your fancy wedding car, but they will remember if they sat by the dance floor bored by the disco. They were without doubt 'groovy' & most definately 'licious'. The only downside of having groove-a-licious is that the reception venue have now asked us to replace their dance floor! Groove-a-licious went down extremely well. The dance floor [which was the biggest the Marquee Company could remember installing] was packed from start to finish. I think this is the acid test of a band at any function. The range of music was perfect - and was in tune with the age group which ranged from early 20's to mid 60's.

We first heard the band two years ago at a friends wedding and knew then that Groove-a-licious would be playing at our venue which we were planning. They did play for us on June the 10th 2006, and were again fantastic.
They really got the party going even though the venue was probably not the best location for a live band, to me that itself shows the talent of the band.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Groove-a-licious for any occasion, party or function. They are complete professionals and undoubtedly talented.
The help, organisation and communication in the lead up to the wedding was again a first class service.
We cant praise the band enough and if you don't believe us, go and see them you will not be dissapointed.

You guys are without any doubt the best funk/soul band in the Southwest, if not the whole country, all the guests were full of praise, Several people in the group have been involved in organising similar events, and said that you guys were the best they had ever heard.
The dance floor was full from the moment you started to your final encore, the cards you gave me have gone, so can you send some more please. We met the Bride and Groom and friends on Sunday at the local pub and everyone was still talking about the band and how much they had enjoyed the music.
As best man the whole day had to go perfectly, it did and with your fantastic music ended on a complete high, I cannot thank you enough and hopefully will see all of you and dance to your music again in the very near future.

Groove-a-licious played at my wedding on 10th July in a Marquee on top of a cliff in South Devon. I really can't recommend them highly enough. I have been to a lot of weddings and private parties over the past few years which have been let down by hiring ropey discos or second rate bands. It is a real mine-field trying to find the right band without ever actually seeing them play. I can only urge you to stop your search here.
These guys are a truly professional outfit who had everyone from 2 to 90 years old dancing all night. I can honestly say that I have not been to a wedding where so many people have danced so hard for so long.
We have had no end of compliments from our guests about them and all I can say is that I got very, very lucky when I stumbled across their web site - Nathan Knight

I got married on June 11 this year. I had little doubt when we selected the band from the internet that they would be great - they lived up to our expectations and the dance floor was packed all night.
